You want to see strength?

I decide to be strong not weak.

I decide to be prodigious.

I decide that courage is an envious trait.

Stupidity? I think not

Bravery is not stupidity

Bravery is not ignorance

Bravery is not weakness

Cowardice is the easy way out

Cowardice is foolishness

Cowardice is selfishness

I may be running

I may be running as far as I can get

But at least I'm running somewhere

And not away from my problems

They always complain about

How they want to be different

How they long to be unique

How they yearn to be admired

Why don't they think?

Step into the light and look?

Stop wallowing in their own false sorrow?

And take action?

Stop conforming with the doubters?

Start taking charge of their destiny?

Be a leader instead of a follower?

Why? Because.

Because cowardice is the easy way out

Independence is stupid

Love doesn't exist

Suicide is always an option

I've heard every bit and I've had enough.

You want the pain to go away?

Stop slashing your skin

You want people to care?

Give and you shall receive

You want to feel better?

Have courage

Courage is not the absence of fear

But the understanding that

Something is more important

Than that fear

Let the sun warm your skin

Dance in the rain

Live the life you were given

Because you won't get another one

It gets better

If you decide to make it better

Just be brave

You know that feeling when adrenaline is rushing through your veins, or when you have way too much coffee and your body starts shaking uncontrollably? Yeah. I felt that when writing this poem. Very, VERY angry right now. I. feel. absolutely. insulted.

Stop being a whiny brat. Seriously. It's not helping you, or anyone else in this world. and don't give me that suicide bullshit. Go to a doctor. Get checked for personality disorder. because if you act like that, something must be seriously wrong with you. Go. Now.

Deeeeep...
I didn't know you could write such rational poetry.
Hail to thee, o new saint Joan Innes of the cross.
And you do know what valor means, doncha?

Atte.

Sir Kurokouriken

P.S: Saint Joan Innes was a mexican poet from the time of the colonial epoch.

Yes Valor means bravery.
Reply
:iconkurokouriken:
Yes, but it can also mean virtue given the context in which it is said.

Sir Kurokouriken

P.S: Do you study Sanish at your school?

Hm... I guess your right! :)

I do study spanish at my school. I've even been recommended to be in the translator class. I'm not fluent, but I've been learning spanish since I was 5.

Oh!
At last I meet someone with my level.
I've been learning English since I was 2, and now at last I am a bit more fluent even with slang terms.
I was born in Mexico, so I speak Spanish very fluently, asides with the proper cultural slangs of the Federal District.
I also went to the US to study English, and I ended up learning a bit of French.
And now that I've managed to get a grip on the two languages, (Spanish and English), I'm learning Japanese so I can go to the Empire of the Rising Sun.

Atte.

Sir Kurokouriken

P.S: If I sound presumptious, I'm reeeeeeeeeeally sorry!

P.P.S: If you need any help with the translation, just say the word, not that you really need any help though...

I've tried learning Japanese too! I begged for a Japnese Rosetta Stone for my birthday one year, I just haven't had a lot of time to actually practice it...

You don't sound presumptious at all. Thank you for help too.

If you want any help with Japanese,I can also make do.

Ufffff, big relief, I hate when people just give me the big sarcasm face.

Sir Kurokouriken

P.S: Have you ever been to Mexico City?

You think I'm stupid because of my so called opinions about bravery? Or the fact that I "whine"?

First off, you're the idiot if you think that I LITERALLY mean what I say in my poems. Poetry is the SYMBOLIC use of words, which is why your lit class doesn't get it. Apparently neither do you. You can't take poetry at face value, anymore than you can a person.

Second off, if expressing myself is "whining" then fine, it's whining. I really don't give a damn. You have no right to judge me, or anyone else. You haven't lived our lives, and you haven't gone through what we have. So before you assume that we HAVEN'T tried to fix things, walk a mile in our fucking shoes.
